Synthesis of chiral carbohydrate ionic liquids.

[摘要]：Chiral room temp. ionic liqs., contg. a carbohydrate moiety linked at the anomeric center to an N-methylimidazolium group were synthesized. The ionic liqs. were prepd. in a concise manner and provided ready access to both the D- and L-arabino enantiomers. The same strategy enabled the prepn. of D-ribo- and D-xylofuranose analogs, in excellent yields.
