[摘要]:Chiral diether ligand-controlled asym. conjugate addn. of a lithium amide to cyclopentenecarboxylate and subsequent in situ alkylation gave a chiral cyclopentane deriv. bearing a quaternary carbon with high enantio- and diastereoselectivity. The cyclopentane deriv. was converted successfully to (-)-aspidospermidine (I).
