Efficient Synthesis of Fluoren-9-ones by the Palladium-Catalyzed Annulation of Arynes by 2-Haloarenecarboxaldehydes.

[摘要]：Fluoren-9-ones and derivs. are readily prepd. in good yields by the annulation of in situ generated arynes by 2-haloarenecarboxaldehydes in the presence of a palladium catalyst. E.g., in presence of CsF, Pd(dba)2, and p(o-tolyl)3, annulation of the aryne generated from 2-(trimethylsilyl)phenyl triflate with 2-IC6H4CHO gave 75% 9H-fluoren-9-one.
