[摘要]：A new reagent (I2/NaNO2) for the iodination of the arom. ring of phenols was discovered. The reaction proceeds at room temp. in 1.5-6 h. In the presence of this reagent, iodinated compds. are regioselectively formed in significant yields from the corresponding substrates.
