Epitaxial Patterning of Bi(2)FeCrO(6) Double Perovskite Nanostructures: Multiferroic at Room Temperature

[摘要]Arbitrary patterns of heteroepitaxial multiferroic Bi(2)FeCrO(6) nanostructures are fabricated by pulsed laser deposition using a simple nanostencil approach. The crystal orientation and the shape of the epitaxial nanostructures are controlled by the orientation of the niobium-doped SrTiO(3) substrates. Using advanced characterization techniques, it is established that the material retains its ferroelectric and magnetic properties at room temperature even at submicrometer dimensions.
