Carbon and Carbon/Silicon Composites Templated in Rugate Filters for the Adsorption and Detection of Organic Vapors

[摘要]：Undulated carbon nanofiber arrays displaying a reflectance peak due to the periodic structure are prepared by thermolysis of a poly(furfuryl alcohol) precursor in a porous silicon photonic crystal template. The carbon/silicon composites act as optical sensors for organic vapors and are up to ten times more sensitive than the template alone.
