[摘要]：Conformationally restrained dibenzothia(oxa)zepines and dibenzazepines analogous to the antidepressant Sintamil were prepd. easily by p-cationic cyclization of pentacyclic N-aryl imides with neat trifluoroacetate in a 3-step sequence starting from available anilines and anhydrides. The regioselectivity in the redn. of imides, esp. the maleimide derivs., as well as in the cyclization step was also discussed.
