Synthesis of chiral ethyl 5-(acetoxyimino)-2,7,7-trimethyl-4-(1-naphthyl)-5,6,7,8-tetrahydroquinoli ne-3-carboxylate via lipase-catalyzed hydrolysis.

[摘要]：Novel racemic polyhydroquinoline derivs. were synthesized by a one-pot approach via a modified Hantzsch reaction followed by aromatization. The optical resoln. was carried out by using lipase L-2 in MTBE contg. 1 equiv BuOH. This method allows the prepn. of naphthyltetrahydroquinolines (+)-I (R = H, >99% ee) and (-)-I (R = Ac, 99% ee) in 50% yield, resp. The E value is ?175.
