[摘要]：Calix[4]arenes having multiple silyl groups on the upper (wide) rim were prepd. from the corresponding bromocalixarenes by halogen-metal exchange with Me3CLi followed by silylation. The best results were obtained using the clear supernatant from a mixt. of chlorosilane and Et3N. With the higher mol. wt. chlorosilanes, an aq. workup was replaced by a filtration through a column of silica gel. Para-(Trimethylsilyl)calixarene, the Si analog of the well-studied para-tert-butylcalixarene, formed a cryst. complex with toluene having a toluene mol. in the cone cavity with the toluene Me protruding out at an angle. |
