Dynamic structural conversion in a spin-crossover cobalt(II) compound with long alkyl chains.

[摘要]：A cobalt(II) compd., [Co(C14-terpy)2](BF4)2譓eOH (1, C14-terpy = 4'-tetradecyloxy-2,2':6',2''-terpyridine), with long alkyl chains was prepd., and exhibited unique spin crossover (SCO) at T1 = 50 K and spin transition at T2?= 206 K and T2?= 184 K with hysteresis (DT = 22 K) accompanying the motion of the long alkyl chains. The structure of 1 was detd. by x-ray crystallog.
