Synthesis of cycloalkanoindoles, the carba analogs of physostigmine.

[摘要]：The title compds. I (n = 0-1) were prepd. by combined aza-Claisen rearrangement/intramol. ring-closure reaction of appropriate N-(cycloalk-1-enylmethyl)-4-methoxyanilines, followed by BBr3-mediated cleavage of methoxy group, and subsequent formation of the phenylcarbamyl derivs.
