Convenient synthesis of 1,4-dihydro-2H-3,1-benzoxazin-2-ones by iodocyclization of t-butyl 2-vinylphenylcarbamates.

[摘要]：Tert-Bu N-(2-vinylphenyl)carbamates underwent iodocyclization on treatment with I2 in the presence of NaHCO3 to afford 4-iodomethyl-1,4-dihydro-2H-3,1-benzoxazin-2-ones in generally good yields. Redn. of these 4-iodomethyl derivs. with Bu3SnH gave the corresponding 4-Me derivs. in good yields.
