Solvent-free synthesis of bis(2,2':6',2''-terpyridin-4'-yl)amine and its metal complexes.

[摘要]：The key compd. bis(2,2':6',2''-terpyridin-4'-yl)amine (L) was prepd. in one step starting from 4'-amino-2,2':6',2''-terpyridine and 4'-bromo-2,2':6',2''-terpyridine in quant. yield. The authors established an easy and efficient route for the synthesis of the bromoterpyridine compd. Using the novel ligand, two ruthenium complexes, [Ru2(L)(X-tpy)](PF6)4 (tpy = 2,2':6',2''-terpyridine, X = Cl, OH) were also prepd.
