An efficient oxidation of element-containing propargyl alcohols and acetylenic g-diols by 2-iodoxybenzoic acid (IBX).

[摘要]：An efficient and convenient procedure for the oxidn. of propargylic alcs. and diols by IBX is reported. Simple heating of the resp. alc. with a suspension of IBX in acetone or THF leads to the Si(Ge)-contg. propynals or g-hydroxypropynals in high yields.
