[摘要]:Neoechinulin A isolated from Eurotium rubrum showed cytoprotective activity against peroxynitrite generated from SIN-1 [3-(4-morpholinyl)sydnonimine.HCl] in PC12 cells. As the authors are interested in this biol. activity, they synthesized neoechinulin A and its derivs. The isolation of natural neoechinulin A and B, a total synthesis of (-)-neoechinulin A, and the detn. of the abs. configuration of natural neoechinulin A was reported. In addn., syntheses of neoechinulin A derivs., including a biotinylated neoechinulin A deriv., which will be useful for identification of the binding proteins of neoechinulin A, were described.
