An Expedient Phase Transfer Catalyst-Mediated Synthesis of 2-Alkyl/Aryl-1,8-phenanthrolines

[摘要]：Several 2-alkyl and 2-aryl-1,8-phenanthrolines were synthesized efficiently from 5-aminoisoquinoline and seven a,beta-unsaturated aldehydes in aq. HCltoluene mixture at 100 degrees C using benzyltriethylammonium chloride as a phase transfer catalyst.
