A Formal Total Synthesis of Platencin.

[摘要]：The readily available and enantiomerically pure trienes I undergo a thermally induced intramol. Diels-Alder reaction to give the corresponding mixt. of compds. II (R = OSiMe2CMe3, R1 = H; R = H, R1 = OSiMe2CMe3). This mixt. has been elaborated to an advanced intermediate assocd. with Nicolaou's recently reported total synthesis of the natural enantiomeric form of the antibiotic platencin.
