Extension of a Cascade Reaction: Microwave-Assisted Synthesis of the GFP Chromophore Derivatives

[摘要]：A facile microwave-assisted synthesis of imidazol-5(4H)-one derivatives is accomplished via reactions of 4-arylmethylene-2-phenyloxazol-5(4H)-ones with urea (or ammonium acetate) in ethylene glycol. The cascade reaction is simple to perform and occurs under mild conditions with broad scope of applicability.
