[摘要]：An efficient synthesis of the DE ring of camptothecin, employing a Reformatsky and a tandem 1-pot, 3-step transformation involving aza-Michael reaction, condensation with ClOCCH2CO2Et followed by intramol. aldol reaction to furnish the dihydropyridone from com. available starting materials, was achieved.
