A versatile bisporphyrinoid motif for supramolecular chirogenesis.

[摘要]A review. During the last decade there has been continuously growing interest in the phenomenon of supramol. chirogenesis, which is a smart combination of chirality and supramol. chem. effectively used for investigations of various aspects of living organisms, modern phys. and natural sciences, and also for technol. applications. Thanks to their spectral, chem., and physicochem. properties, porphyrinoids have been found to be one of the best suited classes of compds. for study of this subject. Out of a vast no. of the porphyrinoid-based supramol. systems employed for this purpose, a bisporphyrinoid motif has been shown to be the simplest, yet widely applicable, structural element that satisfies the requirements for the desired chirogenic properties and ease of synthetic methodol. The aim of this microreview is to highlight the advantages and versatility of this type of chromophoric arrangement for supramol. chirogenesis.
