An Update on Catalytic Strategies for the Synthesis of alpha-Hydroxyketones

[摘要]：The catalytic asymmetric synthesis of alpha-oxygenated ketones is still a challenge to modern methodology. This SYNPACTS gives an overview on recent developments in this area and besides direct alpha-oxidation protocols, alternative strategies that make use of redox-neutral or reductive conditions are discussed.
