Growth of triangle-shape graphene on Cu(111) surface

[摘要]Triangle-shape graphene has been grown on Cu(111) surface by thermal decomposition of 1,1'-ferrocenedicarboxylic acid molecules in an ultrahigh vacuum chamber. The observations of Moireacute patterns and honeycomb structure unambiguously reveal that such triangle-shape graphene is a single-crystalline one-layer domain with zigzag edge structure. Graphene islands can extend up to 17 nm until the growth process is hindered by the edges of the atomic terraces. (C) 2012 American Institute of Physics. [http://dx.doi.org/10.1063/1.4704149]
