Efficient synthesis of 1,8-dioxo-octahydroxanthenes using HClO4/SiO2 as catalyst.

[摘要]Silica-supported perchloric acid (HClO4/SiO2) is a heterogeneous recyclable catalyst for rapid and efficient synthesis of 1,8-dioxo-octahydroxanthenes with good to excellent yields in solvent free conditions. The catalyst was easily prepd., stable, reusable and efficiently used under reaction condition. The structures of the compds. were confirmed by x-ray diffraction of 9-(4-bromophenyl)-3,3,6,6-tetramethyl-3,4,5,6,7,8-hexahydro-1H-xanthe ne-1,8(2H)-dione (without data).
