A simple and practical synthesis of methyl benzo[b]furan-3-carboxylates.

[摘要]：A simple and practical 2-step procedure for the prepn. of 2-unsubstituted 1-benzo[b]furan-3-carboxylates is described. The procedure uses the Cu-catalyzed intramol. C-O bond formation and provides an efficient route to the title compds. in good to excellent yields.
